1. Who we are
Vantage is a Visium company. Visium operates the Vantage website and services. In this notice, “Visium,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Visium, and “Vantage” means the Vantage products and services.
This Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information connected with vantagesensing.com (the “site”) and with messages you send us.

2. The short version
- The site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no trackers and no advertising.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.
- The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- The briefing request form sends what you enter to our briefings team by email. We use it only to respond to your request.
- We use what you send to reply, confirm eligibility, schedule briefings and keep records. We do not sell it or share it for advertising.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete what you sent us.
3. What this notice covers
This notice covers the site and your direct communications with us by email or phone.
It does not cover other websites or services, including Google Fonts, which have their own privacy policies. It also does not cover information handled inside a Vantage deployment for an agency, such as session records. That information is governed by the agency’s written agreement with us and by the agency’s own policies and the law that applies to it.
4. Information we receive
Server logs
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log information: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are kept for security and reliability, for example to detect abuse and to fix errors.
Web fonts
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When the fonts load, your browser connects to Google, and Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy. If you prefer that your browser not contact Google, you can block web fonts in your browser settings. The site still works using your system fonts.
Information you choose to send
If you request a briefing or email us, we receive whatever you include. For a briefing request, that is usually your name, role, agency, state, work email, phone number and message. If you call us, we receive your phone number and what you tell us.
What we do not collect
We do not use cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels, session recording, advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting on the site.
5. The briefing request form
When you submit the Request a briefing form, the details you enter are sent to briefings@vantagesensing.com through our hosting provider and our email delivery provider, who handle them only to deliver the message. We also send you a short receipt with a reference number. The form does not store your request on the site, and it does not use cookies or tracking.
If the online form is unavailable, it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message instead, and we receive only what you choose to send.
You can review, change or delete anything in that message before you send it, and you can choose not to send it at all. We receive only what you choose to send. Your email provider handles the message under its own terms.
Please do not include confidential, classified or criminal justice information in a briefing request or any email to us. When a discussion needs sensitive detail, we hold it in a briefing under a separate non-disclosure agreement.
6. How we use information
We use information you send us to:
- reply to you;
- confirm that you represent an eligible agency or facility operator;
- schedule and hold briefings;
- keep records of our relationships with agencies; and
- protect the security of the site and our systems, meet our legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
Server logs are used to keep the site secure and reliable. We do not use personal information for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
7. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:
- with service providers that host the site or handle our email, which may use it only to provide those services to us;
- when the law requires it, such as in response to valid legal process;
- when needed to protect the safety, rights or property of any person, or the security of the site;
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case the information remains subject to this notice; or
- with your consent.
8. Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies. It does not use analytics, tracking pixels, session recording or advertising tools, and it does not track you across other websites. Apart from our hosting provider, the only outside service involved in loading the site is Google Fonts, described above.
Because we do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. The site does not track you, so Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests from your browser are honored by default.
9. How long we keep it
We keep information you send us for as long as we need it for the purposes in this notice, including our records of agency relationships, and for as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No website, email system or storage is completely secure, and ordinary email is not a secure way to send sensitive information. To report a security issue, see our Security and Vulnerability Disclosure policy.
11. Your choices and requests
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate; and
- delete information you sent us.
Write to legal@vantagesensing.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, usually by replying to the email address we have on file. We may keep some information where the law requires or allows it, and if so we will tell you. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response. Residents of some states have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them as those laws require.
12. Children
The site is intended for public safety professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to legal@vantagesensing.com and we will delete it.
13. United States
The site is intended for visitors in the United States, and this notice is written for U.S. law. If you visit from elsewhere, information you send us may be handled in the United States.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
