Why facilities ask
When the alarm sounds, the first question is who is still inside.
Campus safety teams, hospital emergency managers and site operators plan for the day something goes wrong: a fire, a gas leak, a storm, an evacuation. When it happens, everyone wants to know which rooms may still have someone in them.
Vantage gives your emergency team a room-by-room read of the buildings you run, with a confidence on every reading, so the response starts from evidence instead of a guess. It is offered for safety and nothing else.
Who it is for
Qualified operators, in the buildings they run.
Vantage is offered to facility operators only for buildings they own or operate, and only for safety, emergency planning and emergency response.
Campuses
The buildings you run, room by room.
Labs, lecture halls, offices and plant rooms on a campus you operate. Dormitory rooms stay off limits outside an emergency.
Hospitals
Support for your emergency plan.
Common areas, plant and support spaces in the buildings you operate. Patient rooms are read only under an emergency basis, when there is an imminent threat to life.
Critical infrastructure
Know which areas still show someone.
Plants, utilities and other sites you operate, for emergency planning and response. Never to track who is at work, or where.
Plan and train
Rehearse before it is real.
Run drills in your own buildings under a training basis, with people who have agreed to take part. Your emergency team learns what Vantage can read in your spaces, and where it cannot, before the day it matters.
- A training basis, recorded before anything is read
- Only people who have agreed to take part
- Training records kept apart from operational records
- Rooms that return a no read, known in advance
Respond
Which rooms still show someone.
When an alarm sounds, your emergency team sees which rooms may still have someone inside, a coarse count and how sure Vantage is, so the search starts with the rooms that matter most.
- A state and a confidence for every room it can read
- Breathing on someone who cannot move, when conditions allow
- Private spaces read only under an emergency basis, when there is an imminent threat to life
- A no read is never a clear, so every room is still checked under your plan
The rules
Safety only. Never monitoring.
Every facility agreement requires compliance with our Responsible Use Policy. These are the rules it sets for facility operators, in plain words.
In buildings you own or operate, with clear notice posted in each one, and a recorded basis for every session: consent, an emergency or training.
Vantage may not be used to watch anyone’s work, conduct or attendance, or to make decisions about anyone’s employment, housing, education, health care or benefits.
Private spaces stay private.
Residential units, guest rooms, dormitory rooms, patient rooms, restrooms, locker rooms and similar private spaces that other people occupy are not read, except under an emergency basis when there is an imminent threat to life.
Operators must also follow every law that applies to monitoring in their buildings, including laws on workplace monitoring, health information and tenant privacy. If we believe Vantage has been misused, we may suspend or end access.
- Reading any building you do not own or operate
- Monitoring anyone’s work, conduct or attendance
- Decisions about employment, housing, education, health care or benefits
- Private spaces, outside an emergency basis
- Any attempt to identify a person
- Any session without a recorded basis
How a facility session works
Qualified, posted, recorded, sealed.
- Qualify
We confirm your organization, the buildings you own or operate, and who on your team may operate Vantage.
- Post notice
Clear notice goes up in each building where Vantage may be used.
- Record a basis
Consent, an emergency or training, with its details, before anything is read. A supervisor confirms it, or reviews an emergency session afterward.
- Seal
The record is sealed when the session closes. Every later view and export is logged.
Governance
The same governance as every agency session.
A facility session is held to the same controls as a session run by a fire department or a police agency: a named operator, a named supervisor, a recorded basis, and a sealed record that cannot be edited.
- Buildings
- Owned or operated by you
- Notice
- Posted in each building
- Basis
- Consent, emergency or training
- People
- Named operator and supervisor
- Private spaces
- Emergency basis only
- Identity
- Never
- Record
- Sealed, every view logged
Questions from facility operators
What operators ask first.
Can we use Vantage to monitor staff?
No. Facility operators may not use Vantage to monitor employees’ work, conduct or attendance, or to make any decision about employment. The same rule protects tenants, patients and guests.
Can we read patient rooms, guest rooms or dormitories?
Only under an emergency basis, when there is an imminent threat to life. Residential units, restrooms, locker rooms and similar private spaces are treated the same way.
Do we have to tell people Vantage is in use?
Yes. Clear notice must be posted in each building where Vantage may be used, and you must follow every law that applies to monitoring in your buildings.
Will it tell us who is inside?
No. Vantage reports presence, movement or stillness, breathing when conditions allow, a coarse count and a confidence. It never produces images or audio, and it never identifies anyone.
Does it replace our evacuation procedures?
No. Readings support trained people, they do not replace your plan. A no read means the room is unknown, and confirmed empty is a reading, not a clearance. Every room is still checked under your procedures.
Can we use it in buildings we do not run?
No. A facility operator may use Vantage only in buildings it owns or operates.

Briefings are held privately with qualified facility operators. Your counsel is welcome from the first meeting.
